This is the book I've been waiting to write for a very long time now. I've put it off and put it off thinking it may offend someone or someone may read it thinking it's about them. Well, that could be somewhat true. However, it's a known fact that most writers write about what they know. And, this writer knows a great deal about the trials and tribulations, joys and pride, let downs and disappoints and just the plain ole dealings of life and family.
I chose to let Nora Alvarez tell her own story. Why? Who else could tell it better than the one living it? She, just like every other woman out there, whether we choose to admit it or not, has experienced doubt in our decisions for our children, about our mate and about the person we've become. We've all had that moment that stopped us in our tracks and made us really think if all of what life is giving us is "it"; was there something better on the other side of the fence. Life is a series of choices, and no one wants to find themselves making the wrong one.
Nora is a typical mom of a blended family. She and Jake brought together five of the most opposite children walking this earth. Together they had one, Baby Sam, who Nora was convinced would be the one factor to bring all these clashing personalities closer as a family. When it did the opposite she begins questioning hers and Jake's marriage. A thriving business woman, and facing her last child starting his long journey ahead in his school career, Nora thinks more often than before she should just leave and never look back.
However, a tragic accident, the words of her "loved ones" and her Guardian Angel help her to see that life isn't as bad as she had made it to be. She has to make the biggest decision of her life...and, with either choice, there's no looking back from this one.
